Kamila Butowska, a PhD student from the inter-university faculty of biotechnology of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk, received a scholarship in the Wilhelmina Iwanowska Program organized by the National Agency for Academic Exchange.
The winner will spend a year at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. This center belongs to the most prestigious American universities and leads in many rankings. It is the fourth largest academic institution in the United States.
The winning scholarship holders were selected from 228 candidates. The goal of the program is to increase the international mobility of PhD students at Polish universities by enabling them to conduct scientific research or teaching classes in the best foreign centers around the world. Foreign trips allow them to join the work of recognized scientific teams and implement projects under the care of outstanding scientists from abroad.
