Dr Robert Czajkowski from the Intercollegiate Faculty of Biotechnology of the University of Gdańsk and the Medical University of Gdańsk received the Fulbright STEM Impact Award 2019. The Gdańsk scientist will implement the project at Colorado State University together with Prof. Amy Charkowsky.

22 applicants took part in the competition. The competition procedure including substantive assessment of the application provided by 3 independent experts and an interview with applicants who received the highest marks resulted in granting 5 scholarship awards.

The Fulbright STEM Impact Award is a new scholarship program of the Polish-American Fulbright Commission. The program is addressed to researchers representing the fields of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). The offer is directed to people who manage research projects and supervise the work of other researchers.
