For the first time Gdańsk University of Technology was included in the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities, known as the Shanghai Ranking. In the ranking, it took the range of 801-900, ahead of 2 other Polish universities.
The university of Gdańsk was one of the 2 Polish universities that scored in the HiCi index (Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics – 2019), it also received the highest score (12.2 points) in the PCP index (i.e. for the weighted result of the remaining five indicators divided by the number of full-time academic researchers).
The ranking indicators include: number of graduates / employees with the Nobel Prize and other prestigious thematic/area awards; number of the most cited scientists in the world – ranking by Clarivate Analytics; number of articles published in Nature and Science journals and number of articles indexed in Science Citation.
