Gdansk University of Technology in cooperation with the Municipality of Gdańsk and the Kashubian People’s University implements the project “Technological University of Many Generations”. The initiative has obtained over PLN 2.2 million in funding in the competition of the National Center for Research and Development “Third University Mission”.

The Gdańsk University of Technology will prepare a training program for 1500 people of all age groups, in which the emphasis will be put on practical, workshop and laboratory classes. Their subject area will include exact and technical sciences: mathematics; physics; chemistry; electrical engineering; shipbuilding and programming as well as socio-economic sciences.

The University of Technology will make its laboratories, equipment, classrooms and sports facilities available to listeners. The subject of the classes was chosen by the residents in a special survey. There will be such issues as the presence of harmful chemicals in everyday products or mobile applications that allow participants to train their mind and prevent the development of Alzheimer’s disease.
