Gdansk University of Technology (PG) has been ranked for the third consecutive year in the Academic Rankig of World Universities, the so-called Shanghai ranking, which is considered the most prestigious ranking of universities in the world. In this year’s ranking, the university maintained its position in the 801-900 range.
“The Shanghai ranking is one of the most prestigious and recognisable rankings of universities in the world. Our presence itself in it is a great ennoblement for our university, especially as we have managed to maintain our position in the ranking for the third year in a row. We do our best to ensure that our university develops more and more dynamically every year, hence our presence in the ranking is not a surprise to us, but a confirmation of the right direction of development”, says the Rector, Prof. Krzysztof Wilde.
The top of this year’s ranking is again dominated by American universities – as many as 8 of them were placed in the TOP10. The list includes 11 Polish universities.
