Four female students of the Gdansk University of Technology have become winners of the “New Technologies for Women – Ukraine” programme. The programme was launched by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation and Intel, as part of a collaboration to increase the participation of women in the new technologies industry.
The laureates are: Karyna Konup, a student from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Automation; Mariia Krykun and Mariia Kyryshenko, students from the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology; and Olena Onyshchenko from the Faculty of Technical Physics and Applied Mathematics.
The programme includes a 10-month financial scholarship of PLN 2,000 gross per month (PLN 20,000 gross in total) to cover education and development costs, technical and soft skills workshops with Intel Technology Poland experts, career counselling sessions and participation in the mentoring Buddies Programme, and free participation in Perspectives Women in Tech 2023 – Europe’s largest event for women in technology.
