Gdańsk University of Technology will build a sailing harbor on Sobieszewska Island. The purpose of the investment is primarily to enable scientists and students to conduct field internships and didactic classes, but the marina will also serve scientists to conduct research projects and scientific research there.

The scope of tender includes the construction of a sailing harbor on the Martwa Wisła in Sobieszewo. The marina will be built on a plot well connected to the road system of the Sobieszewska Island, within just 400 m from the new bridge connecting the island with Gdańsk.

The scope also includes construction of a permanent platform on stilts with an area of 151.8 sq m, construction of a floating platform with an area of 95 sq m, construction of mooring places for yachts and a slip of 32 sq m, as well as revitalization of the pedestrian and bicycle routes along the bank of the Martwa Wisła, construction of access and parking spaces as well as providing electricity and water supply.
