Gdansk University of Technology has signed a contract with Pomerania Development Agency for co-financing the construction of STOS Competence Center (Smart and Transdisciplinary knOwledge Services). The total value of the project exceeds PLN 114 million, co-financing amounts to over PLN 66 million and will come from the EU and the Ministry of Investment and Development programs implemented by the voivodeship self-government.

– This investment should give a new impulse to our environment, allow for the development of research and modern didactics. Gdansk University of Technology has great development ambitions, and this project was of interest of our late rector, Prof. Jacek Namieśnik. We will try to continue his will to support the STOS Competence Center – says Prof. Piotr Dominiak, the rector of University.

The project includes the construction of STOS Competence Center and a platform for the modern SMART services supporting research and development activities.
