Hubert Mazurek, a geology student at the University of Wrocław, won the 9th Diamond Grant competition organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The laureate was recognized for the project “Processes controlling the budget of chalcophilic and siderophilic elements in rocks of the lithospheric mantle with a diverse geochemical history”, for which he received a grant of PLN 220,000. In addition to financial resources for the implementation of the first research project, he will also have the opportunity to shorten his scientific career path and start studies at a doctoral school, skipping the MA study.

In the 9th Diamond Grant competition, 69 winners were selected, and with the group of all the previous beneficiaries of the program makes already over 500 people. Hubert Mazurek will be the third winner of the Diamond Grant, who will implement his project at the Department of Experimental Petrology of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the University of Wrocław.
