Polish innovation projects have been recognized with gold medals at the International Exhibition of Technology and Innovation IPITEX 2018 in Bangkok (Thailand).
A team of scientists from the Institute of Information Systems of the Military University of Technology in Warsaw received two gold medals for mobile ICT systems iSULIN and PATRON for diagnostics and monitoring of diseases using biomedical sensors. The iSULIN sensory application received the Grand Prix of the National Research Council of Thailand for the best invention and a special distinction for the best presentation of the solution.
Research teams of scientists from the Academy in Częstochowa and the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow, Center of Polymer and Carbon Materials from Polish Academy of Sciences in Zabrze, Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, Lodz University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków and Silesian Medical University in Katowice were also awarded with gold medals.
Maciej Kowalski, a student of the 4th grade of technical school in the School in Połaniec, also returned to Poland with a gold medal. He received it for the innovative project “Safe bath system”. The device is useful in caring of the elderly, sick and disabled people. It triggers an alarm if there is no movement in the bathroom for 30 seconds. (Kp)
