Karolina Kruszewska, a graduate of design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, was awarded in the European Product Design Award competition. The competition jury appreciated her project “Pose” – a sexual education kit for the blind.

“Pose” is a sexual position education kit for blind people. It responds to the lack of access to knowledge about sexuality and the failure to adapt products for visually impaired people.

The project consists of position descriptions created in collaboration with sex educator Dr Dagna Kocur, 13 audios on the YouTube channel and figurines to show users in detail what a particular position looks like. The figurines were designed for tactile perception.

“Pose” was awarded in the Top Design Winner in Education/Teaching Aids category. The project was created as part of a thesis completed in the Social Design Studio, under the direction of Dr Justyna Kucharczyk”.
