A graduate of the Catholic University of Lublin and papal almonary archbishop Konrad Krajewski will become a cardinal. The decision to include him in the College of Cardinals was taken by Pope Francis. He announced it on May 20, 2018 during the Regina Coeli prayer.
Giving the cardinal’s dignity will be celebrated during the consistory on the feast of St. Peter and Paul on June 29, 2018. Archbishop Krajewski will be the 7th Pole in the College of Cardinals.
The future cardinal Konrad Krajewski graduated in theology at the Catholic University of Lublin in 1988. He has been working in the Vatican since 1999. He served as a ceremony master for three successive popes: John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Franciszek. In 2013, the latter appointed him a bishop and entrusted him with the papal almonary dignity.
