Daniel Mantaj, a graduate of the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz became the winner of the fourth competition of the Polish Association of Plastic Converters for the best diploma thesis in the field of plastics.

The aim of the competition was to promote innovative technologies and organization of the plastics processing process and to disseminate knowledge about them. Nine works have been submitted to this year’s competition of the Polish Association of Plastic Converters. The competition council composed of specialists in the field of plastics qualified three works to the final.

The winning master thesis supervised by Dr Eng. Joanna Paciorek-Sadowska, Prof. of University of Kazimierz Wielki from the Institute of Materials Engineering, is entitled: “Modification of SPPUR / PIR flammable properties by a waste filler from the energy industry”. The winner received a prize of 5,000 PLN.
