Gdańsk University of Technology for the 16th time awarded the Prof. Romuald Szczęsny Prizes to university graduates. The competition jury rewards student works characterized by a high level of innovation.
The first award was received by Szymon Grocholski for the project “Platforms for the rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy”. Awards and financial prizes were also given to: Agnieszka Mikołajczyk for her work “The use of computational intelligence methods for diagnosis and classification of abnormal states – Selected applications in medicine”; Mateusz Bryk for “Analysis of the problems of rapid start-ups and withdrawals of high-power turbines” and Mateusz Burtowy for “Antenna with controlled beam for V2X applications in the IEEE 802.11p standard”.
Professor Romuald Szczęsny graduated from the Electronics Department of the Gdańsk University. His PhD thesis and pioneering research work focused on modeling and simulation of power electronics systems.
