In Zabrze, Prof. Zbigniew Religa Silesian Clinical and Scientific Center for Prevention and Treatment of Environmental Diseases, Civilizational and of Aged People will be launched. The first patients will be received at the end of 2012.

It will be a modern facility in which specialist clinical care will be combined with scientific research. It will treat cases of particularly complex diseases, e.g. heart and lungs, which are the result of many years of work in difficult conditions of heavy industry, among others in mines and smelters. 95 percent geriatric patients suffer from cardiovascular disease.
