“The Hemp Program – a tool for commercializing agricultural intellectual property on an international scale” of the Institute of Natural Fibers and Herb Plants in Poznań won the award of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development for achievements in the implementation of progress in agriculture, rural development and agricultural markets.

The program is an example of effective commercialization of intellectual property goods developed at the research institute. Its purpose is the large-scale production of certified and basic hemp seed of industrial varieties belonging to the Institute, which are sold in Poland, Europe and in the world.
The role of the program is to promote hemp cultivation, knowledge transfer in the field of agrotechnics and processing. Another important goal is also to support local initiatives that will allow the creation of processing infrastructure in Poland and make Poland the leader of the cultivation and processing of industrial hemp in Europe.
