The State Higher Vocational School (PWSZ) in Nowy Sącz intends to produce breathing ventilators for patients with COVID-19. Only parts of the device will be created at the school. Other components are to be produced by the project partners who also want to support hospitals.

The breathing ventilator works like a traditional ventilator, but the ventilator requires intubation. Breathing ventilators will support breathing where there is a lack of traditional ventilators.

The PWSZ technical institute in Nowy Sącz has already launched the production of plastic protective helmets for doctors and paramedics. So far, about 400 such helmets have been produced at the higher school. They will be received by the hospitals of the Sądecczyzna Region and Social Welfare Homes.
