The Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, and the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, Mariusz Kamiński, signed a letter of intent on the establishment of a Higher School of Border Guards.
The current system of training and in-service training of Border Guard officers is based on the activity of 3 training centres: Central Border Guard Training Centre in Koszalin, Border Guard Training Centre in Kętrzyn and Border Guard Specialist Training Centre in Luban. The new university will be established on the basis of the logistics facilities of the Central Border Guard Training Centre in Koszalin, which have functioned to date.
Within the framework of the new academy, it is planned to start BA studies in the field of state border security. In the long term, these will be extended to include second-cycle studies. The changes will also cover the system of training Border Guard personnel in all corps and the principles of recruiting candidates for the Border Guard.
