From the 25th to the 27th of April 2019, the 6th International Interdisciplinary Scientific Conference entitled “From the Union of Lublin to the European Union” (historical, socio-political, legal and cultural aspects) will take place in the House of Polish Culture in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The conference is organized by the Association of Lithuanian Poles Scientists (SNPL). The partners of the conference are Aleksander Gieysztor’s Akademia Humanistyczna in Pułtusk, Faculty of Economics and Information Technology in Vilnius, University of Bialystok, European Federation of Polonia Scientific and Technical Associations, House of Polish Culture in Vilnius.
The conference aims to analyze the Lublin Union’s conclusion 450 years ago and its impact not only on the development of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, but also on contemporary geopolitical relations in Europe. It will be attended by 120 participants from Poland, Lithuania, Germany, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Italy, Ukraine and Belarus.
