At the Department of Cardiac Surgery, University Clinical Hospital in Wroclaw, a hybrid room was officially put into operation. The investment for over PLN 7 million will enable the work of interdisciplinary teams and give new treatment options.

The room is equipped in quantum technology. It is the most modern device for extracorporeal circulation in the world, which after safe stopping of the heart, allows for accurate and continuous analysis of vital signs and blood tests during surgery. The team of cardiac surgeons thanks to the use of quantum can perform the most complex heart operations.

The room can be used by cardiosurgeons and cardiologists. Its functionality is based on the fact that they can perform two different treatments at the same time. The hybrid room also carries the possibility of minimally invasive surgery, thanks to which the patient’s treatment time and hospital stay are shortened.
