On 15 and 16 December, the Department of Latin American and Comparative Studies at the University of Lodz and the Main Board of the Polish Association of Latin American Studies are organizing the Second Ignacy Domeyko Latin American Congress.

The Congress, combined with the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the Society and the 100th anniversary of Poland’s independence, will be an opportunity to analyse the Polish presence in Latin America, summarize Polish scientific accomplishments in the field of Latin American issues and continue dialogue on the possibilities of its further development.

The meeting will start with a session with honorary guests representing Polish-American scientific communities in Latin America, followed by Polish-American, cultural, political, archaeological and anthropological thematic panels.
