From May 16 to 18, the 3rd Academic Nuclear Energy Forum will take place in Krakow. The organizer is the Department of Nuclear Power Engineering of the Faculty of Energy and Fuels at the Kraków AGH University of Science and Technology together with the Scientific Circle of Nuclear Power Engineering “Uranium”.
The forum is addressed to students of majors related to nuclear energy and physics, members of scientific circles and enthusiasts of this subject from all over Poland. The program includes lectures of Zbigniew Kubacki from the Nuclear Energy Department of the Ministry of Energy. He will present “the Polish Nuclear Power Program “. Natalia Krawczyk from the Institute of Plasma Physics and Laser Microfusion will give a lecture on “Thermonuclear Fusion – Energy of the Future “. Dr Mikołaj Oettingen from the Department of Nuclear Power, Faculty of Power Engineering and Fuels will hold a lecture “Perspectives of using the thorium in energy sector”.
During the Forum there will also be a competition of student presentations and workshops prepared in cooperation with the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Public Policies.
