The University of Opole (UO) has inaugurated the Opole University Foundation. The aims of the Foundation include scholarship programmes, projects, training, grants, mentoring, conferences and workshops, and above all, support for cooperation between business and scientific partners and broadly defined support for the academic community.
“We have been intending to establish the Opole University Foundation for a long time; we took steps towards this goal a year and a half ago. I am delighted that we have succeeded. How could it be otherwise, since we are the seventh university in the country and the 24th academic institution in Poland according to the latest Perspektywy ranking”, said UO Rector Professor Marek Masnyk at the foundation’s inauguration ceremony.
The guests invited to the inauguration included representatives of academic foundations from Łódź and Poznań, which are among the most active institutions of this type in Poland.
