The Piotrków Trybunalski Academy inaugurated its activities in Piotrków Trybunalski. During the ceremony, Dr Dariusz Rogut received the act of appointment as rector of the academy from Przemysław Czarnek, Minister of Education and Science.

‘After the reactivation of the Zamość Academy, after the establishment of the Mazovian Academy in our royal city of Płock, the time comes for Piotrków Trybunalski as such a historic, distinguished and important city in Poland”, said Minister Czarnek.

The head of the science ministry recalled that the Academy is being established on the basis of a branch of Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. However, the development of the academy requires additional funds, hence Minister Czarnek announced a one-time increase in subvention by 10 million PLN.

The Piotrków Academy will offer courses in administration, national security, economics, philology, English philology, finance and accounting, history, logistics, pedagogy, pre-school and early childhood education, nursing and management.
