Independent Students’ Association completed Nobel Student Competition

Nine outstanding students representing various fields of science and art won the Student Nobel awards.

The Nobel Student Competition has been organized since 2009 by the Independent Students’ Association. It aims at awarding outstanding students for their scientific and artistic achievements. Winners are selected on the basis of criteria, including: grades from studies, scientific, social and artistic activity, cooperation with the scientific press and activity in the student government and student organizations.

The competition committee, which included representatives of 6 Polish universities, selected 9 winners:

  • Adam Cieślik (Jagiellonian University) – Physics and Astronomy
  • Sandra Wawrzyniak (Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań) – Journalism and literature
  • Agata Binienda (Medical University of Łódź) – Life Sciences and Energy
  • Juliusz Bojarczuk (Warsaw University of Technology) – Technical Sciences
  • Szymon Ogryzek (The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw) – Art
  • Anna Suska (University of Warsaw) – Social Sciences
  • Magdalena Lubaś (Jagiellonian University) – Economic Sciences
  • Magdalena Nowak (Poznań University of Economics) – Social activity
  • Krzysztof Kotowski (Medical University of Silesian Piasts in Wrocław) – Medicine and Pharmacy
