– I would like innovative telemedicine solutions to be increasingly included in the scope of guaranteed services. We will work on this – said Minister of Health Łukasz Szumowski during the panel discussion about innovations in medical devices, organized by the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Medical Devices POLMED.

The discussion on the state of medical innovation and development barriers in the commercialization of projects took place as part of the Congress of Health Challenges in Katowice, which lasted from 9 to 11 March 2018.

– We have Polish cardiological products that are sold in the world, but not in Poland, because they are not among the products refunded by the state. It is difficult to talk about commercialization until there is a fast path from commercialization to reimbursement – said Minister Szumowski.

At the end of the panel, the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Medical Devices POLMED announced the commencement of work on the report on the market of medical devices in Poland.
