The Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) in Olsztyn has joined the EU partnership for the development of sustainable food production, processing, distribution and consumption – Future FoodS.
The Olsztyn institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences is the only Polish entity in this international consortium and will be responsible for creating a European network of so-called living labs, i.e. laboratories where new solutions for the agrifood industry will be developed and tested, reports the Polish Academy of Sciences.
The Partnership for Sustainable Food Systems involves 87 institutions from across the European Union. These include scientific entities, food producers, legislators, innovation support centres and organisations active in the agri-food industry. The initiative is coordinated by the French National Research Agency (ANF).
