Institute of Psychology of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń opened a new seat

The Institute of Psychology of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń has opened a new seat. After adaptation, the building of the former Academic Medical Clinic houses 10 classrooms, 16 laboratories, computer labs, a reading room and a rooftop aviary for cognitive studies of birds.

In the former clinic, rooms for research and teaching staff, the secretariat of the institute, a conference room with a break room were designed. On the ground floor, in the former hospital part, there is a cafeteria, a reading room with a reading room for psychological tests and a student council room. In the central part, in the place of doctors’ offices, 10 classrooms and a psychotherapy center with an independent entrance were built.

The modernization and adaptation of the facility to scientific and didactic purposes started in 2019. The total cost of the investment – documentation, reconstruction and equipment – amounted to over PLN 16 million and was fully financed by the university.
