The European Commission has allocated EUR 1 billion to fund research and innovation projects that will contribute to the European Union’s response to the climate crisis and help protect Europe’s unique ecosystems and biodiversity. The consortium members in four projects include three institutes Fluid-Flow Machinery, Hydroengineering and Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN).
The European Green Deal competition invited consortia bringing together representatives of academic, business and city governments.
The Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences will participate with 11 institutions and enterprises in the LOCALISED project, i.e. “Localised decarbonisation pathways for citizens, local administrations and businesses to inform for mitigation and adaptation action” and in the HYPERGRYD project, i.e. “Hybrid coupled networks for thermal-electric integrated smart energy Districts”.
The Institute of Hydroengineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences will participate in the REST-COAST project, ie “Large scale RESToration of COASTal ecosystems through rivers to sea connectivity”, together with 36 partners .
The Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences will take part in the ILIAD project , ie “Integrated Digital Framework for Comprehensive Maritime Data and Information Services” with other 56 institutions and enterprises.
