On February 5, the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IFiS PAN) is inviting participants to the international conference “Poland and its European context: Continuity and Change”, presenting the results of the 9th “European Social Survey” project. The conference will take place in Warsaw and will include three sessions. They will be devoted to issues of social sense of justice, ideas about the best time for important stages of life, such as marriage, retirement, etc., and attitudes towards immigration and immigrants.
The European Social Survey (ESS) is one of the largest and most important European research projects, involving around 30 countries. In 2005 it received the Descartes Prize, awarded by the European Commission. In 2013, the ESS project obtained the status of European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC), and in 2014 it was included into the Polish Research Infrastructure Road Map.
