Participants can apply for the most important digital event of this year – Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2021, which will be held at the International Congress Center in Katowice from 6 to 10 December. The University of Economics in Katowice is a partner of the event.
IGF is an international initiative of the United Nations. Its aim is to initiate and facilitate global discussion about the development of the Internet. The event is attended by heads of state from around the world and business representatives, as well as activists from non-governmental organizations and the scientific community.
The thematic paths selected this year by the United Nations are divided into two main – socio-economic integration and human rights, universal web access – and four cross-cutting: new regulations; environmental sustainability; open internet management ecosystems; and trust, security and stability.
