Anna Krzyżak from the Pedagogical University in Krakow took second place, and Dorota Kołbuk from the Institute of Paleobiology of the Polish Academy of Sciences took third place in the “My doctorate in 180 seconds” competition in Central Europe. The participants had 3 minutes to convince the jurors and the audience in a speech on the subject of their doctorate in French.
The organizer of the Central Europe finals in the competition “My doctorate in 180 seconds” was the Institute of Romance Philology at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow in cooperation with the French Institute in Poland.
The 16 French-speaking PhD students who participated in the final of the online competition represented 5 countries: Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland. The winner of the Central European Final, Elise Sivault from the University of České Budějovice, qualified for the international stage of the competition, which will take place in September in Paris.
