The Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa (UJD), in cooperation with the Częstochowa City Hall, is planning to establish a University Clinical Hospital. The new structure would be established on the basis of the Municipal Teaching Hospital in Częstochowa.
“This is the future for the city as well as for the University, students and medical staff, because it has the opportunity to raise the level of education in conjunction with scientific research. Medicine develops when good education goes hand in hand with science. A hospital moves to a higher level of operation when it becomes a clinical unit in its entirety”, says UJD rector Professor Anna Wypych-Gawrońska.
According to the mayor of Częstochowa, Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, the establishment of the USK will make it possible to develop medical activity and provide better care for residents.
“They will be able to count on shorter queues to specialists and a wider possibility of diagnostics, thanks to investments in infrastructure and medical equipment”, says the mayor.
