Kielce University of Technology and the Jan Kochanowski University will educate staff for the Central Office of Measures (GUM). Specialists in the field of metrology will be needed by the GUM laboratory campus, which is developed in Kielce.
-We want to create opportunities for training metrology staff in the coming years. We want this course to be very attractive for students with numerous apprenticeships and internships with the possibility of later employing the best graduates – said Prof. Jacek Semaniak, president of GUM.
Professor Artur Maciąg, vice-rector for student affairs and teaching at the Kielce University of Technology is convinced that the cooperation between universities and the Central Office of Measures will be fruitful.
The Kielce institutions are planning cooperation in the field of scientific research and promotion of metrology. The most important thing, however, will be educating metrologists and both Kielce universities intend to launch new full-time and post-graduate studies.
