Kielce University of Technology will gain a modern device simulating sunlight to conduct research on photovoltaic panels.
The artificial sun is 1.5 meters by 2 meters and will be obtained by the university from the Netherlands.
-The artificial sun is an emitter that will be used to research solar modules. We will measure the voltage and current parameters, which will allow us to assess the class of modules and the possibility of using them in the industry – said Dr Eng. Ewa Zender – Świercz, Kielce University of Technology.
Research with the use of artificial sun will help Polish producers of photovoltaic panels to improve the quality of their products in such a way that they become competition for large global producers.
The artificial sun will be transported to the Kielce University of Technology by the end of March at the latest. It cost over a million PLN. The money for the purchase of the device was obtained by the Kielce university under the CENWIS project – Science and Implementation Center for Smart Specialization in the Świętokrzyskie Region.
