Kielce University of Technology to hold VII European Rover Challenge

02.09.2021

Final preparations for the seventh European Rover Challenge are underway. This year’s event will be held on September 10-12 at the Kielce University of Technology. For the first time in history, the players will compete offline and online.

During the event, it will be possible to take part in lectures on flights to Mars, commercialization of the Moon and the use of space technologies on Earth. Additionally, the world’s largest active Martian volcano will appear on the track in Kielce.

The European Rover Challenge is the largest space event in Europe combining the international competition of Mars rovers with scientific and technological shows. Following the slogan “we inspire a new generation”, since 2014 the organizers have brought the cosmos closer to the general public and made them aware of the growing role of modern technologies in everyday life. It is also a meeting place for representatives of the European world of science and business interested in the use of space and robotic technologies.

The project is co-financed by the “Social Responsibility of Science” program of the Minister of Education and Science.
