The Kozminski Academy in Warsaw, the Economic Sciences Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Polish Economic Society are organizing on January 28-29, 2019 a scientific conference “In search of a better world – economy and politics”.

The first day of the event includes debates that will focus on the conditions and strategies for economic development, the future of globalization, fiscal and monetary policy, the methodology of modern economics and the Chinese development model. The main lecture will be given by Prof. Justin Yifu Lin, vice president of the World Bank in 2008-2012.

The second day will include a discussion among leading Polish economists, co-authors of the book “Economics and Politics, Around Grzegorz W. Kolodko’s Economic Theory” published by the PWN Scientific Publishers, edited by Prof. Elżbieta Mączyńska. The debate is to address the most important challenges of contemporary economics and politics, the condition and evolution of the European Union as well as the opportunities and threats facing the Polish economy.
