Economists of the Academy had online debate ‘Business versus Virus’ on the challenges, threats and the future of the Polish and global economy in the new situation, caused by the coronavirus pandemic was held on 24 March on the Facebook profile of the Kozminski Academy (ALK) in Warsaw.

The meeting was attended by: Dr Jacek Tomkiewicz from the Department of Economics and Dr Franjo Mlinarić and Dr Błażej Podgórski from the Department of Finance ALK.

The debate aimed to present the current challenges and future of the global economy facing a coronavirus pandemic. The scholars discussed whether individual countries had the opportunity to get prepared for the crisis, how they should react to it, and what instruments can be used by the individual governments and central banks.

ALK experts also considered the future of business in Poland. They assessed threats, especially for small and medium enterprises, and development prospects for the near future.
