The European Commission (EC) has renewed the HR Excellence in Research award for Kozminski University (ALK) in Warsaw. The EC awards this distinction only to institutions that meet high standards in terms of creating good working conditions for science and R&D, counteracting discrimination or conducting transparent recruitment processes, as described in The European Charter For Researchers. 

One of the steps in the process of renewing the HR Excellence in Research award was the evaluation of the application by experts from the European Commission and their visit in July 2023. Through meetings with university officials, researchers, doctoral students and administrative staff, the experts assessed, among other things, the quality of progress, the strengths and weaknesses of the HR strategy and our efforts to ensure the principles of the European Charter and the Code for Researchers in terms of ethical, equality and professional aspects, working conditions, development and training, and mobility.

The next evaluation of the implementation of the European Charter and Code for Researchers will take place in three years’ time.
