Magdalena Sikorska from the University of Economics in Krakow won the first Competition for the best diploma thesis on currency markets. The organizer of the Walutomat.pl competition, the largest currency exchange platform in Poland, awarded her for the work “Significance of swap transactions in the evolution of the Polish currency market and the OTC interest rate derivatives market”.

The Walutomat service has just announced the winners of the contest. For the next year’s Diploma Work Competition students can submit not only their master’s, but also bachelor’s and engineering theses. In this way, the organizer wants to broaden the reach of the competition.

To take part in the next year’s competition, a student should write a thesis on currency markets, present it from April 1 to November 15, 2019, achieve at least a good grade and send it to the organizer. There are cash prizes worth PLN 8,000 to win, as well as sets of attractive gadgets.
