On October 19, 2018, the international conference “Post War Reconstruction: The Lessons of Europe” will be held in the capital of Lebanon, organized by the Lebanese-American University in Beirut with the Krakow University of Technology.

The Beirut conference is to be a forum for the presentation of scientific papers that deal with the problems of rebuilding the country after the destruction caused by armed conflicts.

Participants of the event will present and summarize various models of activities in this area that were undertaken after the end of World War II in Poland, Germany, France, Italy and Great Britain.

The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition addressing the impact of architecture on the creation of Polish national identity in the interwar period.
