The knowledge center on the principles of universal design in the field of architecture, urban planning and construction will be established at the Krakow University of Technology (PK) as part of the project “Accessibility Hub – a Center for Practical Accessibility Learning”.
The Hub is a project of scientists from the Krakow University of Technology, implemented in partnership with the Kielce University of Technology, and financed by a grant from the “Accessibility Plus” program of the National Center for Research and Development. The University obtained for this purpose over PLN 1.4 million from EU funds.
The Hub will be a center for practical learning of accessibility in the area of architecture, urban planning and construction. Its resources will be available mainly to academic teachers and students, but also employers, entrepreneurs and officials.
The main goal of the project is to create and support the operation of a knowledge center about accessibility as a unit supporting the application and dissemination of universal design principles in the area of higher education.
