27 November 2023, the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, appointed Krzysztof Szczucki as Minister of Education and Science upon the proposal of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Minister Krzysztof Szczucki is a Doctor of Jurisprudence and a member of the Polish Sejm of the 10th term. From 2020 to 2023, he served as President of the Government Legislation Centre. In 2020, he was Director of the Legal Department in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
From 2015 to 2016, Krzysztof Sztucki was the chief specialist in the criminal law team of the Office of the Ombudsman, then until 2020 the chief specialist in the Office of Law and Order of the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland.
In 2012-2013, he worked as a teacher of civic knowledge at XXXIII Secondary School in Warsaw. He then spent a year as a visiting scholar at Maurer Law School at Indiana University.
From 2009 to 2011, he was a legislative expert at the Bureau of Sejm Analyses.
Krzysztof Sztucki is a research and teaching staff member at the University of Warsaw, author of numerous publications, organiser of scientific conferences and seminars.
