The Laboratory of Genetic Markers Research in Horses has once again received the highest quality assessment of the laboratory tests performed. The facility of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań takes part in tests organized by the International Society for Animal Genetics every two years. 

– The fact that we have reached once again the first group, and our result was 100%. (i.e. all the results were correct) proves the very high quality of research offered by our laboratory. This means that our results are as valuable as those obtained in large private foreign laboratories – says the head of the Laboratory, Dr Eng. Mariusz Maćkowski.

The results of the tests carried out in the laboratory can be used by horse breeders or breeding organizations to verify the origin of the horses. The offer also includes tests for mutations affecting horse colors. It is possible to introduce mutations that cause genetic diseases to the test offer.
