The Laboratory of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning was established in the Department of Marine Machinery and Equipment, mechanical department of the Maritime University of Szczecin. The studio was created on the basis of the employees’ projects and was financed by the university.

In the laboratory, researchers will focus on developing energy-saving and safe solutions for the environment. Cooling devices have a huge impact on the natural environment, and the task of scientists is to find new solutions that make this impact as small as possible.
The new laboratory of the Szczecin university is equipped with a station for testing refrigeration automation, a test stand for ventilation unit with heat recovery, a didactic stand for filling and recovery of the refrigerant, as well as a refrigerator to run the courses both for students and officers’ cadres.
