A lecture by Prof. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan, titled ‘Dialogue and solidarity: Azerbaijan’s vision for cooperation and development’ was held at the University of Warsaw (UW), and concerned Azerbaijan’s perspective on its development and international cooperation, including cooperation with Polish universities and scientific institutions.

During the ceremony, Prof. Alojzy Z. Nowak, Rector of the University of Warsaw, presented Prof. Sahiba Gafarova with the University of Warsaw Medal, which is in recognition of the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan for her efforts in promoting Polish-Azerbaijani dialogue.

“Polish-Azerbaijani traditions and relations are a very important factor in cooperation in education, science, culture and tourism. The latest projects and joint activities of the Slavic University of Bakiyan and the University of Warsaw are bringing our peoples closer,” emphasised Professor Sahiba Gafarova.
