Technology for producing lightweight straw acoustic panels developed by Prof. University of Life Sciences in Poznań, Dr Radosław Mirski from the wood technology department was nominated in the competition “Eureka! DGP – we discover Polish inventions”.

The final recipient of straw acoustic panels is construction industry. The growing awareness of the possibilities of shaping the acoustic characteristics of rooms with use of such materials will show growing interest of that market.

The developed panel will be used in construction as a natural material constituting thermal and acoustic insulation and in shaping the acoustic values of specific rooms (conference rooms, production halls).

Competition “Eureka! DGP – We Discover Polish Inventions” is a series of “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna” combined with a competition for the best invention submitted by a Polish university or scientific institute.
