The Faculty of Management of the University of Łódź (UŁ), together with the Faculty of Geographical Sciences of the UŁ and the Faculty of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the Society of Polish Town Planners and the Committee for Spatial Planning of the Polish Academy of Sciences are organising the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP) Congress on 11-15 July 2023.
The guiding topic of the congress will reflect the current challenges for a sustainable future.
Today’s world is facing increasing civilisational challenges related to the effects of climate change, the progressive degradation of environmental resources and assets, internal and external migration resulting from economic crises and political tensions, as well as shortening product life cycles, automation and autonomation of management processes in business and the public sector.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to predict development processes, phenomena, and events, of which the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019 is clear evidence.
