The Vega Foundation, together with the start-up SensiVR Health, is organising the conference “Women in Science – Yesterday and Today” on 18 October 2023 in Lodz, Poland, with the aim of introducing the achievements of women in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics).

‘We decided to organise an event that would not only introduce participants to the biographies of specific female scientists but would also be an event that would showcase the beauty of science in all its diversity and inspire younger generations. As part of the conference, we are planning a series of individual presentations and panel discussions’, inform the organisers.

The conference will focus on 4 areas: Artificial Intelligence (AI) as support for medical solutions and preventive health; Bio-tech-art, or the impact of creativity on scientific discovery and technological innovation; Immersive technologies of the future – what is experiential learning; Women’s achievements in science throughout history and current discoveries.
