Lodz University of Technology (PŁ) from the new academic year 2019/2020 is launching the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School (ISD), in which the innovative educational program in English will be adapted to the needs of interdisciplinary PhD students and implemented in cooperation with other research centers in the country and abroad.

– Our expectations, needs and proposals of new solutions aimed at creating conditions for the best possible development of scientists at an early stage of their careers were accepted. What’s more, the rector of PŁ Prof. Sławomir Wiak entrusted the specialists strongly involved in activities for the doctoral community in Poland and in Europe to organize the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School. In this way, in consultation with other members of the PŁ academic community, a new chapter was added in the history of doctoral life for the Lodz University of Technology.

Supervision over the activities of the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School is exercised by the Scientific Council of the Doctoral School, composed of representatives of disciplines and doctoral students themselves.
